Building Inspections

   

When you are having your new home constructed, Anderson Property Group, Inc. can be your representative in meetings with the Builder, walking the site and reviewing progress and compliance with plans, etc.


Anderson Property Group, Inc. provides inspections during the course of construction to catch any potential defects before they are covered or when they can be easily corrected. These are typically; 

  • Phase 1 - Foundation & Crawlspace/Slab. This inspection looks at the concrete foundations to ensure that the proper vapor barriers are installed and sealed; structural items such as anchor bolts and straps are properly installed; Insulation. On slab foundations this inspection would be to confirm that the utilities are in place and correct prior to pouring the concrete.
  • Phase 2 - Pre-Drywall. This inspection would review the framing, roughed in mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and the exterior including flashings and roofing materials. This is a vital step as after this phase, the drywall and insulation are installed and corrections are much more difficult and expensive.
  • Phase 3 - Final. This inspection looks at the installation of exterior siding, flooring, and fixtures. 

Reviewing the progress of construction at these points will give you confidence that the job is being done right. Additional inspections can occur as well on custom homes as requested.

After the contract has been let, we will work with your contractors to create a schedule and then over see the project through the punch out.
